My Suffering of the Day
I wanted to try a new recipe today for chile rellenos. I had snatched up some close-to-spoiled poblano peppers for super cheap at Harris Teeter the other day, so I thought…why not? Well, now I am thinking…WHY EVER did I try to do such a thing?!? A step in the recipe calls for you to peel the skin off the peppers and removed the seeds from within. The part I forgot to read was about wearing gloves. Yes, gloves. Because if you don’t, your hands will burn for hours on end and no matter what you do, they will simply continue to burn. So here I am with my burning hands. My small suffering for today=a lesson for the rest of you. Whenever handling hot peppers, PLEASE WEAR GLOVES!

I’ve experienced that, too, and gone on to touch my face. The burning spreads!
