Organize, Organize, Organize

I have organizing spurts.  They are good.  It means that the house gets in a little better order.  This serves my husband and kids well.  Personally, I also think it helps create a more peaceful atmosphere.  Clutter overwhelms me and makes me feel anxious.

A few months ago, I re-arranged my kitchen.  I was trying to make more space in my cupboards and drawers.  This entailed:

1) Getting rid of stuff (by giving it away or selling it).
2.) Purging my foodstuffs and organizing it (and getting rid of stuff that we would never eat anyway).
3.) Coming up with creative places to put stuff.

Going along with #3, I found a tutorial for a grocery bag holder.  I had been keeping my plastic bags (which we use for our kitchen trash can) in an ENTIRE DRAWER.  With the holder now, I added a drawer for cooking stuff and a little splash of color to my kitchen.  How delightful!

Thanks for the link Veronique! What a great idea. :o )

Do you have any blogs you go to for creative ideas for cardmaking? I just got a deal on fun scrapbooking paper. I don’t really scrapbook but thought it would be good for making simple cards, gift tags, etc, but need some help in the idea department. Just wondering if you had any leads…:o)

Yes, I do! They are all on the right side of my blog on my blogroll. Do you see them? I know there’s a lot more out there, but I just try to stick to three because it gets overwhelming and it’s easy to get sucked into browsing the Internet for way too long! Thanks for commenting. Hope you and your sweet family are well!
