Super Savings Saturday

I picked up a few things from Kroger and Harris Teeter last night, keeping in mind that I had $7 less in my weekly budget of $40 because I overspent last week.  Surprisingly enough, I came in quite a bit below at $27.63!  I have been really humbled by how the Lord has provided for our needs, big and small.  I prayed that we would only spend $33.00 this week and God decided to outdo my prayer.  Our family surely does not deserve His abounding goodness toward us!

From Harris Teeter
I spent: $17.70
I saved: $15.81 (in coupons) and $9.81 (in VIC savings)
I bought:

  • 6-pack Danonino strawberry yogurt
  • 16 oz. box Mueller’s elbow macaroni
  • 1 bag Sargento Mexican blend cheese
  • 3.17 pounds bananas
  • 1 package organic Earthbound Farms Baby Spring Mix
  • 2 jars Prego HeartSmart pasta sauce
  • 50 oz. jar Harris Teeter natural applesauce
  • 1 bag Harris Teeter brown sugar
  • 2 roma tomatoes
  • 2 bags SteamFresh frozen vegetables
  • 4-pack Activia yogurt
  • 1 container Stonyfield Farm Oikos yogurt

From Kroger
I spent: $9.93
I saved: $15.90 (in coupons and Kroger savings)
I bought:

  • 2 boxes Banquet sausage links
  • 3 cans Pilsbury Grands biscuits
  • 1 bottle Kraft BBQ sauce
  • 2 boxes Betty Crocker brownie mix
  • 2 bottles Purex detergent
