My Mom and Brother Come to Visit

A couple days after our friends, Pete and Jess Melling, left us to go back to Minnesota, my mom and brother came to visit.  They stayed for about a week and in that time, we…
…ate really good Khmer food…
…played outside…
…read lots of books…
…went shopping…
…watched a really badly-made movie…
…played Nertz with Tyler and Laura…
…visited “our” house on State Street…
…hung out with Autumn and Elena…
…and stayed up way too late probably every single night!

It was worth the lack of sleep though.  I only get to see my family once or twice a year.  We had a great time!  Love you, Mommy and Jonathan.  Thanks for visiting!

That first picture looks a lot like the vietnamese crepes my mom makes that I love! Do you know how to make those?

Glad you had such a great time with family! Love the pic of your mom and JL. So sweet!

Debra, yes, they are Vietnamese crepes. I think they are spelled “banh cheo” or something like that. I do know how to make them, but they are pretty labor intensive.

By the way, I saw one of your pictures on Pioneer Woman’s blog…way to go!
