Family Funnies

Tonight…

Daddy: Joshua Lee, what is 7+5?

JL: Daddy, it’s 12!

Daddy: True dat.

JL: Daddy, you said that backwards.  It’s “That’s true”!

Another time tonight…

JL: What is that?

Mommy: It’s a bag of chocolate.

JL: (long pause as he looks at the picture on the front of the bag) Mommy, my mouth starts to water when I look at the picture of the chocolate.

Mommy (laughing): Me, too, bud.  Me, too.

Oh, the things that my 5-year-old says.  I love him so much!

Meal Planning Monday

After three fairly horrible, no-good days with the stomach flu, I am finally on the mend!  I don’t feel quite myself yet, but baby steps are good steps.  Yes, I am thankful.  My to-do list is longer than ever now, but that is okay because at least I know what to feed my family this week.  Whew!  I hate the feeling of stepping into my kitchen at 5 PM wondering, “What am I going to feed my family tonight?”  Stresses me out to the max.  So, here’s what the Petersens are eating this week!  There are some repeats from last week because the meals didn’t actually get made due to my being sick.

Aaron and Allison’s Wedding

With three kids to care for now, I don’t have a lot of time for photography anymore, but I did get the opportunity to second-shoot for one of my good friends, Samantha Maxwell.  Being that it was only the second wedding I’ve ever photographed, it was fairly stressful but also a ton of fun!  There is always so much more to learn about using my camera, shooting on manual, composition, etc.  Hopefully I will just keep getting more opportunities to grow.  Well, here are a few shots of the wedding day that I got.  Enjoy!
